RLS is delighted to be staging a special concert at 5pm on Sunday 6th July as part of the Buckingham Summer Festival. Talented GCSE & A-level Musicians and a number of musical Old Latins will celebrate the spirit of performing across a diversity of styles.

In the first half we will hear no less than the complete Beethoven Sonata in C sharp minor (Sonata quasi una Fantasia) op.27 No.2 (Moonlight), Haydn’s absolutely delightful Sonata in F major and Grieg’s formidable early A-minor piano sonata – three sonata giants with relish!

In the second half, relax with a glass of wine and fly into the sun with Delibe’s famous Flower Duet from the opera Lakmé, perhaps more often associated with the British Airways advert, and enjoy music theatre songs including Let Me Be Your Star, which was introduced in the first episode of the musical TV series ‘Smash’.

All this and more – a smashing concert! Tickets available from www.buckinghamsummerfestival.org (£10 adults, £5 children), with proceeds going towards the Discovery Centre at RLS. PLease join us for a wonderful evening of music.
