Skipper Ollie Toone with the Vase

Skipper Ollie Toone with the Vase

Here’s a excerpt from a letter from the school:

Dear RLS Rugby supporter.
Royal Latin School U15 Daily Mail Vase Final
Saturday 23rd March 2013.
On this truly historic day for Royal Latin I would like to thank you for coming to support our team. We have been overwhelmed by the response to our Twickenham invitation, so much so that we have had to book 7 coaches – rather more than originally anticipated!

But, the school meant it had to book seven charabancs for its rampant supporters, not seven rugby coaches, perhaps under the leadership of that eminent from the past, Mr Graham Collis.
So, rugby at RLS is as healthy as in Graham’s day.
Sadly, I hear from Ruth Newell ( now an RLS parent and governor) that our U15 squad came up against its old, neighbourhood foe STOWE SCHOOL and were beaten.
Beaten, but NOT OUT.  The team under the leadership of Ollie Toone powered onwards to Felsted School in the final & RLS won, securing the Daily Mail Vase.

Well Done our Lads!
